The "Fiets en Wandelbeurs"

The "Fiets en Wandelbeurs" (in The Netherlands and in Flanders) is the centre for cyclists and ramblers: with papers, presentations, workshops, and information markets in the company of many like-minded people. Is is the largest event in the Benelux for cycling and rambling tourism and recreation. In this specific area it is also the largest fair of its kind in Europe and possibly the whole world.

Aim

The "Fiets en Wandelbeurs" is primarily intended to be a platform for information and the exchange of knowledge and experiences. The relaxed informal atmosphere on the exhibition floor is characteristic for the Fair and is an important factor for many of the visitors in their decision to attend.
A comprehensive programme of contents with more than a hundred papers, presentations and workshops are an important part of the Fair's offering. The café terraces and the numerous picnic benches provide abundant opportunity to meet fellow cyclists and ramblers.

Figures

The first edition of the Fair in 2005, was also in the RAI in Amsterdam. Since then the number of exhibitors and visitors has grown quickly. In the period between 2005-2010 the floor space occupied has risen from 6,000 m2 to 21,000 m2.
